The Mission of Worcester County Northern Schools, diverse and growing community, is to provide a rigorous, sequential, and balanced curriculum for all students to become responsible lifelong learners. This will be accomplished through instructional excellence in partnership with family and community in safe, caring, and well maintained environment. We will recognize the uniqueness of each students role as a productive citizen in an ever changing world.

Graduation Requirements

To be awarded a high school diploma,

a student must earn 21 credits in the following areas:

English - 4 credits

Math* - 3 credits

Social Studies - 3 credits

Science - 3 credits

Fine Arts - 1 credit

Physical Education - .5 credit

Health - .5 credit

Technology Education - 1 credit

Elective - 1 to 3 credits

Program Choice - must complete at least one of the following:

World Language - 2 credits

Advanced Technology - 2 credits

Career & Tech Education Completer Program - 4 or more credits

*A student must enroll in a minimum of one math course each year regardless of number of math credits earned.
